Day 1:Fez / Ifran /Medilt/Merzouga
Fez is the starting point of the three days journey. Ifrane will be our first destination, a winter ski resort in a totally Moroccan style built by the French in the 1930’s to resemble a Swiss village. Nearby, we will visit the cedars forest in Azrou where we are going to find the monkeys. Afterwards, we will be driving across the amazing Middle Atlas Mountains. Most of the day will be spent winding your way through the beautiful forests, springs, jagged rock faces, and Berber villages as you cross the Atlas Mountains and begin to descend towards the Sahara Desert. Midway, we will stop for lunch in the town of Midelt, famous for its fossils and rocks. Later, we will continue towards Merzouga. Throughout our way we will stop in a panoramic views to see the huge oasis of palm tree. While we will reach the Rissani, we will take the 4×4 to the desert heading to merzouga. In the afternoon, dinner will be accompanied by a Saharan music and the over night will be in a traditional Kasbah.
Day 2 :merzouga / Erg Chebbi
After breakfast and rest, the second will start by a visit approximately half day in the desert to see the different its facets. We will be passing by small villages, Including El Khamlia village where the Local people play saharan Drums, you will see the lake and the oasis. You will also will have a small visit to Rissani the first capital of the Alaouit dynasty. In the afternoon back to the desert, your guide and camels will be waiting for you. You will start a camel trekking across the sandy dunes of the erg-chebbi. Camel trek across a desert land scape, you will enjoy the beauty of the sunset on camel. Hereafter 2 hours you will reach the desert camp to spend night in a tent. At your desert shelter, your camels will be hobbled and mint tea will be served. After a wonderful dinner, you can enjoy the beauty of the bright stars. The whole overnight will be spent in the Tent.
Day 3 :Merzouga/Tafilalte /Fez
If you want to watch the amazing sunrise, from just behind the Algerian border all what you have to do is to get up a bit earlier. By the way, the Algerian borders are about 50 km from Merzouga. Later, we will take the camel back to the hotel. After shower and breakfast we will go back to fez. Passing by Rissani and Ziz valley, you will stop for walk and to have lunch in a berber village. We will resume the way through the mountain and cedar forest. Once we reach fez that will be the end of our tour.
